Children of West Africa
Children of West Africa Having Fun
How many times have you seen programs, articles, stories and pictures of the starving and suffering children in Africa? There are NGO's (None Government Organizations), Church/Religous Organizations, and others such as doctors and dentists who come in groups or as individuals doing what they can to not only help but bring the plite of these children to the rest of the world.
This lens will not take up that cause. Since my time in West Africa I have seen this suffering. I have expirenced through friends and co-workers the problems of infant mortality rates and hunger amoung the young. But I have also witness the joys of childhood among these children.
Playing, laughing, learning and growing.
These children are not unlike children around the world. They want to be loved and they love to have fun. This lens has been created to show the Children of West Africa at their best. At their joyful moments. At the time of their childhood.
The suffering will continue and probably be there for years to come. Children, laughing, playing and growing will also be there for years to come.
